Addi's Birthday

Yesterday, Adam and I took Layney to a birthday party at the Yellow River Game Ranch. Sweet Addi was turning 2. Addi's mom and I were roommates in college and it was so nice to see her! She asked that I bring my camera and I'm so glad I did! I had so much fun capturing these sweet kids! Here are a few of my favorites.

So, today... I took some pictures for a friend that I work with at St. Mary's. Meet Clayton and Carson. At first they were NOT excited about getting their pictures made, but they came around. what a beautiful day...

Today was such a gorgeous day! The color was beautiful as the sun started to set, so I took full advantage of the moment and shot some pics of my sweet Layney Grace. Here are a few of my favs!

Today I took some pics of my sister Grace! We had so much fun and she was very patient with me since I was trying different settings and techniques. my first official session...

A few days ago... I took some pictures for my best friend Ashley and her boyfriend Reid! They turned out great. And I am happy to say that this time.... the pics are all my work! I edited them too!They are such a cute couple and have so much fun together! They definitely kept me laughing. Below are a few of my favorites!

Great beginnings...

For starters, I am very new to "blogging". The purpose of this blog is to share with you my new passion... photography! Well, I guess I shouldn't say "new". I have ALWAYS loved taking pictures, but when my daughter Layney Grace was born... there was nothing better than capturing moments of her life with pictures! All I wanted to do was take pictures of this amazing blessing God had given to me. Then, for Mother's Day when Layney was 2, my husband (Adam) gave me my first "professional" camera. A Nikon D60 SLR!!! So, then it began... my quest to learn more. Recently, I was introduced to a great little invention called Photoshop! And after that... I wanted to take more pics, but not just pics of my adorable daughter. In May, I will be taking another photography class at UGA in hopes of learning even more! But for now... I am just going to take pictures whenever I get a chance and learn as I go!
