Avery's Birthday

I went to highschool with Avery's mom, April. So, when she called me about taking pictures at Avery's birthday party... I was so excited! Avery is simply adorable and I could tell that she is use to having her picture made. We went into a large field of wild flowers and Avery and I ventured out on our own a little. She loved picking the flowers! Afterwards, we got a few family shots. It was so nice to see April again and meet her adorable children!

New Locations...

I am always searching for beautiful locations to take pictures! My friend Ashley told me about a place in Colbert, GA. I wanted to explore, so I asked my sister and favorite adult model to go with me! Also, I thought since I was experimenting... it would be a great time to offer a couple of free mini sessions! So, I did just that. After getting some great shots of my sister Grace, the Carithers family (minus dad) met me there! I was able to spend some time with Trinity, Jordyn, and baby Titus. The girls were naturals and even offered a few "poses" of their own. Here are a few pics of the Carithers kids! I will feature some of my sister in the next post.

Surprise for Dawn...

Wow! It's been a while since my last post. 7 weeks ago I fell and broke my ankle during a photo session. So, unfortunately I had to take a short break. I am doing much better now, still walking with a limp... but at least I am walking! A few weeks ago, I decided to surprise my Aunt Dawn with some pictures of her son Hunter. So, we arranged a night to pick him up without Dawn knowing where we were going. Adam and I took him and our daughter Layney to botanical gardens. Layney and Hunter are the bestest of friends and when they get together, well... they are kinda stuck on their "own little world". Initially my approach was to "pose" them, but that however was not their plan. They wanted to play... so they did just that! It was great and I was able to relax and get some great shots! Biggest lesson of the night... you never know when you are going to capture the "perfect" shot, the "one of a kind" expression, so always... always have your camera on and ready to shoot and always keep your eye open for that perfect moment!
